A complete renovation of a 2,352 SF lakefront cabin. The residence was transformed with a fully updated interior, exposed wood details, modern finishes, while keeping with the cabin-like vibe. Enhanced outdoor spaces including a screened-in porch, fire pit, and private dock complete this warm, modern waterfront escape.
PROJECT OVERVIEW AND VISION
The vision for this renovation was to transform an aging waterfront home into a warm, modern retreat that felt connected to its natural surroundings. Rather than forcing a completely new architectural identify onto the house, the renovation focused on enhancing its existing character through natural materials, exposed wood elements, layered textures, and a relaxed lake-house aesthetic.
Inside, the goal was to create inviting, comfortable spaces while modernizing the home throughout. Updated kitchens and bathrooms, refreshed living areas, exposed beams, and carefully selected finishes created a cohesive design that feels refined without becoming overly formal. The finished lower level expanded the home's usable living space and helped make the property equally suited for everyday living and entertaining.
The finished project feels comfortable, timeless, and distinctly waterfront—combining the character of a traditional lake house with the functionality and finishes of a thoughtfully renovated modern home.
